Overview
Utsav is a mobile app for browsing festival-related short videos and creating festival greeting cards. Utsav does not require an account or sign-in, and does not collect your name, phone number, email address, or precise location.
What Utsav stores on your device
- Favorites — videos you mark as favorite are saved only on your own device and are never sent to any server.
- Greeting cards you create — the "Create" feature lets you design festival greeting cards. Any card you save ("My Creations") is stored only as an image file in the app's private storage on your device — it is never uploaded anywhere.
- Photos you add to a greeting — if you choose to add a photo from your gallery into a greeting card, that photo is used only to render the card locally on your device. Utsav does not upload, transmit, or store your photos on any server.
- Unlock status — which optional greeting-card designs you've unlocked (by watching a rewarded ad) is stored locally on your device only.
None of the above is ever transmitted off your device by Utsav.
Content shown in the app
The video feed reads public video metadata (titles, thumbnails, channel names) from a Firestore database to build the feed — this contains no personal information about you. All videos play through YouTube's own official embedded player, streamed directly from YouTube — Utsav never downloads or stores video files.
Utsav is an independent app and is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with YouTube or Google in any way. Watching a video is subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.
Advertising
Utsav may show ads through third-party advertising networks, including banner, interstitial, and optional rewarded ads (used to unlock certain greeting-card designs at no monetary cost). These networks may use an advertising identifier and general device information to serve and measure ads, under their own respective privacy policies. Utsav does not control, and does not receive, the data these networks collect for ad serving.
Data sharing and sale
Utsav does not sell your data. Utsav does not share any personal data with third parties, other than the standard advertising data handled directly by its advertising network partners as described above.
Children
Utsav is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
Because Utsav doesn't use accounts or cloud storage, managing your data is simple: deleting a favorite, deleting a saved greeting, or uninstalling the app removes that data from your device. There is nothing stored server-side to request deletion of.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Effective" date above will be updated. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
